Professor Daniel Jeyaraj visits Madras Christian College

Liverpool Hope University's Professor Daniel Jeyaraj Friday 20 April 2012

Liverpool Hope University's Professor Daniel Jeyaraj is currently in India, where he gave a seminar at Madras Christian College on the subject of India Initiated Churches.

The seminar brought together academics and clergy, as well as representatives of leading mission agencies. Professor Jeyaraj writes: 'The participants expressed their gratitude to Liverpool Hope University and Madras Christian College for the welcome they received and the common forum provided to them for mutual discussions.'

 Following this event, Professor Jeyaraj will be visiting Liverpool Hope partner institutionBishop Heber College, home to the Institute for Applied Social Sciences.

 The Institute was established in 2007 as an international research and practice development institute as a partnership between Liverpool Hope and Bishop Heber College in Tamil Nadu, India. The focus of the Institute's work is mainly, but not exclusively, social work, social care and health.
