Professor Frank Cottrell Boyce interviewed in the Guardian

Frank Cottrell Boyce Tuesday 19 June 2012

Liverpool Hope's new Professor of Reading and Communication, Frank Cottrell Boyce, featured in the Guardian this week. In the article he explains his passion for reading and the importance of reading for pleasure.

Professor Cottrell Boyce talks about his work with the Reader Organisation and how that has informed his thinking about reading and education. He is convinced that there is a generation of teachers being prepared in a way that marginalised reading's pleasure. He said: "That was why I wanted to get to Hope and spread the word and get teachers reading again. Sometimes people don't know what to read; its a question of sharing what's good."
