Rough Guide praises “dynamic, exciting” LiverpoolTuesday 23 June 2015
The new edition of The Rough Guide to Great Britain has applauded Liverpool for its “great energy and charm,”calling it a “dynamic, exciting place.”
The city scores high in numerous areas, with the Guide recommending a range of cultural and social attractions. It calls Liverpool One “brilliantly-designed” and also highlights Bold Street’s independent stores and the “arty originals” in the Baltic Triangle.
The “unpretentious” nightlife is commended, along with its “home grown live music.”
The Guide also lists the many tourist attractions that the city has to offer - St George's Hall, the Walker Art Gallery, Central Library, World Museum Liverpool, the Maritime Museum and the two cathedrals - venues for Liverpool Hope University's graduation ceremonies.
