Students discuss refugee crisis with Hungarian AmbassadorThursday 26 November 2015
Hungarian Ambassador Péter Szabadhegy discussed Hungary’s response to the current refugee crisis with students during a public lecture at Hope Park.
The Faculty of Arts and Humanities invited the Ambassador to give a lecture on Hungary's Place in the Heart of Europe and the World from an Economic and Geopolitical Perspective.
Along with an overview of Hungary’s post 1990 Euro-Atlantic integration, the Ambassador reflected on Hungary’s role as part of NATO and the EU, its economy, and its energy and immigration policies.
The talk was followed by an insightful Q&A, where students asked thought-provoking questions about Hungary’s response to the refugee crisis.
