Symposium cements Tate Liverpool and Hope partnershipThursday 13 October 2016
Liverpool Hope's partnership with Tate Liverpool was verified on Saturday with the successful symposium In Athens' Shadow? Radical cultural responses to crisis in urban democracy.
Contributions were made from three leading scholars in the field, Professor Jen Harvie, Professor Malcolm Miles and Professor Alan Read, along with provocations from local radical artist groups.
The Department of Drama, Dance and Performance studies made a significant contribution to the day's events with papers offered by Dr Gary Anderson and Dr Stephe Harrop, while Dr Niamh Malone was the convenor of the event.
Lecturer in Drama and Theatre Studies Dr Niamh Malone said: “It’s hoped the event will become an annual occurrence, so there will be opportunities for other colleagues to contribute next year.
