Teaching the Eye to See exhibit comes to Hope ParkMonday 29 June 2015
An exhibition of work by Teaching the Eye to See art group is on display at the University’s Hope Park Campus for the first time.
The rotating exhibit forms part of a curatorial programme to enhance the visual environment of Liverpool Hope for students, staff and visitors, and is available to view in the FML Senior Common Room.
Featuring 24 paintings by four members of the art group, the collection is the first in a series that is on display until 11th December 2015.
Teaching the Eye to See has a long association with the University and in previous years its biennial show has been held at the Creative Campus.
Founded in 1998 by a group of academics from Liverpool Hope, the art group originally formed a Wednesday evening class, before extending to a second afternoon lesson as popularity grew.
The two sessions now welcome forty people from different walks of life - some who have taken part since it was founded - and there is a long wait list for the classes.
