At Liverpool Hope University we offer professional and confidential counselling to help you with any personal issues affecting your studies, self-esteem, relationships, emotional or general wellbeing. We are based in the Gateway Building (First Floor) at the Hope Park campus.
Being a student can be very demanding academically, personally and socially and there are times when many of us could benefit from additional support. During these times, when we are facing problems, or if we are in a period of crisis, counselling may provide the opportunity to talk things over, in confidence, with an understanding and objective outsider.
Not all students who seek counselling have deep-seated problems - it is also a potential resource for those who want to reflect upon, or develop, some aspect of themselves, either personally or academically.
Counselling also endeavours to enable people to come to terms with the ambiguities and problems of everyday living, and may provide an opportunity for clients to increase their skills in interpersonal relationships and to further their own development and self-esteem.
