dsc_5883.jpgWe know that becoming a student in higher education can mark the beginning of a new and exciting phase of life, but it can also mean finding out lots of information, getting used to new routines and establishing new support networks in an unfamiliar environment. At Liverpool Hope, the Student Support & Well-being team is responsible for everything that directly influences student learning and the personal care of students.

Our priority is to make the transition to higher education as easy as possible – whether you are from the UK or overseas, or joining us straight from school or as a mature student. From your very first contact with us, we aim to make your experience of Hope both friendly and enjoyable, and we will provide support every step of the way. We are a relatively small institution and you will be known by name and respected as an individual right from the start.

Adjusting to a new environment takes time, but you will find us ready to listen, advise and offer practical support from your first day as a student of Liverpool Hope. To this end, The Gateway Building acts as a portal to access the range of student support services, which in many ways make Liverpool Hope University distinctive. It is also the ‘front door’ of the University. The Service Desk is at the heart of the Gateway Building’s operation and operates a ‘triage’ approach to Student Support & Well-being. If our team are unable to answer a query, it is our role to assess the particular need and to direct students (as well as staff and visitors) in the direction of a Hope team member who can assist. In this sense we offer both general guidance and easy access to specialist advice.

If you would like specific information about any of the services available to our students, please visit the Student Support & Well-being webpages or for general enquiries, the Contact Us button.
