Rosanna Hynes, a third year media student, said;

rosanna-thumb“I came to the university through the clearing process as I changed my mind late on in the year about which university I wanted to come to. Coming to Liverpool Hope was one of the best decisions I ever made – and the staff made the process really easy. When I visited the campus, I loved the university’s greenery and the community atmosphere. Now that I have been studying here for some time, I have made lots of friends, and studied subjects I wouldn’t have done at another university. Liverpool Hope University is the only university I can imagine wanting to come to now.”

Christopher Mills is a third year Theology and Religious Studies student.

christopher-mills“I’m originally from Bangor in Northern Ireland, so moving away from home was a big step. I chose to come to Liverpool Hope University because there was an exciting combination of modules, including philosophy, that I felt best suited my pathway of study. I visited many universities around the UK, but I was taken aback at Liverpool Hope by the friendliness of staff and students, as well as the welcoming atmosphere on the opening day. The informal atmosphere when I visited made me feel at home.

The best thing about studying here is the way I can interact freely with lecturers and other staff members. There is a relaxed atmosphere in the classroom that aids learning, and makes academic study at hope an enjoyable experience. Also, in my studies I feel much supported – I have dyslexia, and Liverpool Hope University have gone above and beyond to accommodate my needs, as a student who finds aspects of academic life more difficult.

I am not from Liverpool, but I found the city has become a second home. I have always felt safe when out in Liverpool, and the security on campus is top notch. The nightlife is good craic and I have found the city centre to be brilliant! I’ve made a lot of friends, and I think it’s important to remember that everyone is in the same boat when they first come here.”
