Applying for a PG Certificate, Diploma, MA, MSc, MBA
If you are applying for one of the Postgraduate taught programmes listed above, you need to apply direct to Liverpool Hope University. Once the form is completed, you need to send it to the Postgraduate Administrator with all the relevant documentation. Applications can be accepted by post or email as long as any additional documentation is sent by post or scanned by email.
Liverpool Hope University has two main intakes a year for postgraduate study - January and September. Not all programmes are available at each intake so it is important to contact the Postgraduate team for guidance.
When to apply
It is advisable to apply for a postgraduate course as early as possible. International students particularly should apply as early as possible to ensure there is sufficient time to apply for a visa and make all necessary preparations for moving to the UK.

What happens after you apply
When we receive your application for a postgraduate programme, we will send you an acknowledgement email to let you know we have received it. We will then send your application and documentation to the Course Director who will make a decision on your application. We aim to make all decisions on applications within 10 working days.
To ensure a speedy response to your application, please ensure all necessary documentation is enclosed and that your application is completed in full.
If you are successful
Applicants will then be offered a conditional or an unconditional offer by letter. Most applicants receive a conditional offer, meaning that your place will only be confirmed once you meet certain conditions. Examples of the types of conditions you may have to meet include:
- Completion of a first degree
- Academic References
- For international students: English language proficiency test, for example, IELTS examination
- For international students: a copy of your passport
- For international students: a tuition fee deposit
Once you meet all conditions of your offer, you will be sent an unconditional offer letter confirming your offer of a place.
If you are unsuccessful
You will be sent a letter from us informing you of our decision.
