I joined Liverpool Hope University in September 2015 as Post Doctoral Teaching Fellow. I have recently completed my PhD at the University of Leeds with a scholarship from A. G. Leventis Foundation. I graduated in Educational Sciences and Psychology from the University of Cyprus in 2008 and then I continued my studies at the University of Leeds, where I pursued my master degree in Special Educational Needs in 2009 with a scholarship from A.G Leventis Foundation. I am qualified teacher and have been a primary school teacher in Cyprus for 3 years. I currently teach undergraduate courses in Early Childhood studies and supervise a number of undergraduate students' individual research projects. My PhD research focused on the use of restricted ICT resources in the Cypriot educational context where the teachers had the opportunity to collaborate, design and create dyslexia-friendly, game-like web-based learning environments for word-based mathematical problem solving. The web-based learning environments were implemented and evaluated at both whole-classroom and individual settings with promising outcomes. I am a member of the Cyprus Dyslexia Association and a member of the Bi-communal Association for Historical Dialogue and Research.
