0.5 Part Time Lecturer within BA Design, specialism Printed Textiles Design; Level C programme Coordinator; Level H Degree show coordinator including New Designers annual exhibition, London.

Research Interests: Contemporary printed textile designs for fashion and interior accessories. Fine silk scarves. Designs for garment surface. Textile hangings/panels. Imagery, colour fabric and print dominate my work creating dynamic and contrasting designs that are intended to attract, contrast and complement. Edgy geometrics meet exotic florals and delicate lines often support heavy tonal shapes resting on grounds of graduating colour. Ongoing research into various print processes and varying fabric qualities are integral to development, creating work that is underpinned by technical print tradition yet embracing contemporary design and technology. Dyed and printed fabrics are all hand produced using varying combinations of dyes and bleaching agents. All natural fibres are hand screen printed while synthetics are introduced to colour and image via the heat press. Areas of Expertise: Drawing, collage & image manipulation, digital printing, screen printing – fibre and dye manipulation – New technologies.
