PhD, Liverpool John Moores University; M.A Screenwriting, Liverpool John Moores University; M.A Theatre Studies, Lancaster University.
Following my first degree at Lancaster University in French Studies with a minor in Theatre Studies, I trained as an MFL secondary teacher and then taught EFL abroad. I then lectured in the Faculty of Business and Law at Liverpool John Moores University on French Language programmes and courses involving exchange students such as Television across Languages and Cinema across Languages. My PhD examined the use of Satellite TV with Second Language Learners. I also subsequently completed an M.A. in Screenwriting at LJMU.
Research Interests: My principal research interests combine the linguistic and the creative in areas such as: Using Drama in MFL; Using Satellite TV with Second Language Learners. I am also interested in helping non-specialist primary teachers to use PMFL more confidently and effectively.
