Sara Preisler works as an established contemporary maker and
gallerist, specialising in jewellery and related Craft &Design.
During her time in business, she has launched many precious
jewellery collections and has stockists in over 40 international shops and
galleries. She has also designed and been commissioned by various prestigious
companies to include The Royal Shakespeare Company, The Van Gogh Museum,
Amsterdam, and more recently The V&A, to name but few.
Established in 1993, Sara Preisler opened her first outlet: The Sara
Preisler Gallery in 2002, and following its success, she has expanded twice
since to larger premises and is now at ‘Front of House’ at The Custard Factory
in Birmingham’s creative quarter.
In her role as Gallery owner, she represents over seventy other
established and emerging designer makers from cross disciplines within the
Craft & Design and Fine Art & Photography sector.
Having lectured in art and Design at various academic
institutions she is currently a Jewellery & Silversmithing Lecturer at
Liverpool Hope University on its Bachelor of Design Course, she also leads the
Professional Practice team on this course.
year Sara’s Gallery was awarded ‘Best Independent Jewellery Gallery 2018’ by
2017 Sara’s gallery and professional practice was championed by ‘Visit Britain’
as a cultural reason to visit the UK and she herself has recently been awarded
‘Best Contemporary Jewellery Designer’ in the 2017 Luxury Goods Awards by
Industry Insight monthly, while being nominated for the 2017 UK Enterprise
Award by Worldwide Business Review.
