Following a career in Financial Services, I moved to Liverpool Hope University Business School in 1999, teaching mainly Human Resource Management and Development. I joined the Centre for Learning and Teaching in 2007 as Principal Lecturer and am now Director for the Centre for Pedagogy in the Faculty of Education. I am the Award Director for the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice, a qualification required of all new university teachers and specifically designed for the university sector. I also direct the Masters in Academic Practice.

My research interests include: Technology enhanced learning;  Problem-Based Learning; Assessment;  Performance Management,  University teachers' beliefs and practices.
