skylineweb.jpgEven if you don’t know a great deal about Liverpool, there are two things you may have heard about the city - it’s the birthplace of The Beatles and it has two famous football teams, Liverpool and Everton.

Liverpool has much to offer, whatever sort of music you like and the Mathew Street Festival and the Summer Pops are just two of the annual music events which take place around the city. There are a large number of clubs and venues throughout the city and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra provides classical music performances throughout the year.

Liverpool is the most successful footballing city in England: its two famous teams play in the Premier League and you can take tours of their respective stadia at Anfield and Goodison Park. Liverpool FC now has its very own European Cup after winning the European Champions League for the fifth time in 2005.

Whatever your interests, you will find that Liverpool is a great place to study. It is a vibrant student city offering plenty of cultural, sporting and social opportunities.

What recent Hope graduates say about their time in Liverpool:

Clare Thompson, BA Combined Honours Advanced Study of Early Years and Education Studies graduate, from Northern Ireland: “I decided to study at Liverpool Hope University for two reasons: the course itself and the location. I was attracted to Liverpool as I knew it was an exciting city full of clubs, bars, galleries and theatres. Hope’s closeness to the city centre makes it the perfect choice.”

Carl LePoidevin, BA Combined Honours Psychology with English Literature graduate, from Jersey: “Having previously spent time in Liverpool I was confident that I’d enjoy living in the city. Living in Liverpool has been fantastic particularly this year with all the Capital of Culture celebrations. It is a vibrant, student friendly city.”

Misba Jerath from India, PGCE Primary: “Liverpool is a lovely city and I have liked living here. The people have been very helpful. There is something about Hope that gives you buoyancy. The ambience is warm and friendly.”
