Overview

Marketing is one of the most challenging, fast-moving and exciting disciplines in business globally. Studying a comprehensive view of the marketing world prepares you for a career in organisations of any type and size.

You will be provided with the key skills and knowledge that will enable you to understand marketing context, marketing research and the discipline’s central role to business success, while allowing you to reflect on the moral and ethical implications of marketing behaviour.

Curriculum

The course covers a wide range of exciting topics in Marketing that are relevant for both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. Case studies and research from both product and service industries will be used to explore and apply current marketing theory to a wide range of topics. These include market segmentation and positioning, marketing planning, marketing research, customer communications, marketing ethics and ethical branding, buyer behaviour and customer perceptions and brand management.

At Level 1

Marketing and business systems.

Level 2

Marketing communications and legal implications.

Level 3

Marketing research and international business.

The assessment uses a wide variety of methods. These include multiple choice examinations, group presentations and reports, individual academic reports and examinations. The assessments have been designed to develop s knowledge and skills in multiple ways and provide experience of gaining key skills needed in the competitive world of business.
