Visa Information for Study Abroad at Liverpool Hope University

Please read all of this information very carefully.

There are two types of student visas for the United Kingdom:
1. PBS Tier 4 Student Visa
2. Student Visitor Visa (or basic Entry Clearance given at Passport Control when entering the UK)

•    Single Semester Students:
If you are studying at Liverpool Hope University for one semester, you will fall under the Student Visitor status .
This is free and can be applied for/processed as you enter the UK
If you intend to work or volunteer during your semester, you will need to apply for the Tier 4 Student Visa.
The fee for this visa is £145 (around US$225 as of May 2009) plus postage of US$12

•    Full Year Students:
If you are studying at Liverpool Hope University for a full year, you will need to apply for the Tier 4 Student Visa .
