Creative for Christmas

Following on from the success of our summer long Saturday Art & Design club, Liverpool Hope in conjunction with the MNCO will be hosting 'Creative for Christmas' running every Saturday from Saturday 7th November until Saturday 5th December 2015. The Saturday Club is aimed at offering young people aged from 13-16 the opportunity to study Art & Design at our Creative Campus. This Saturday club will have a special festive theme where students will be able to work on projects under the supervision of academics and professions as well as gaining experience from industry specialists and spend time with current undergraduates. 

 

Saturday 7th November 

During week 1 you will take a trip to a local exhibition focusing on decorative arts. This will give you the opportunity to get lots of inspiration and ides for your project. 

Saturday 14th November In week 2 you will based at our Creative Campus where you will start designing and manufacturing your projects with help and advice from some of our academics and industry specialists. 
Saturday 21st November  Week 3 will involve you decorating your projects and giving them the personal touch using specialist techniques and materials. 
Saturday 28th November  In week 4 you will focus on your ideas for packaging for your gift, whether is is making your own wrapping paper, or creating a special box or bag, you will also have the chance to make you own gift tags and Christmas card. 
Saturday 5th December  In week 5 you will be finishing up your projects and packaging making sure that everything is perfect. 

 

It is the aim of the Art & Design clubs to engage with students as well as developing talent and confidence in a creative and nurturing environment.
