The successful candidate will have the necessary expertise and experience to teach EU Law, and will also have the ability to contribute to other Foundation (LL.B) subjects and to other specialist areas of law. The successful candidate must have a PhD in Law and an established publishing record. He/she must also be able to demonstrate the potential to be included in forthcoming REF submissions with research equivalent to 3*.  To be considered for the Associate Professor role, the candidate will be expected to have an appropriate profile: an international reputation and research, which is of at least 3* quality with the demonstrated potential for 4*. 

The post is permanent, subject to the normal probationary period of twelve months.

Salary: Grade 8 (£40,792 to £48,677 per annum) and Grade 9 (£50,132 - £58,089 per annum)
