Building upon our success, evidenced most recently by exceptional results in the national student satisfaction survey, the Complete University Guide and the achievement of a Gold award in the Teaching Excellence Framework, the University is seeking to appoint an outstanding colleague who will make a major contribution to the bespoke Masters provision within the School of Education. This includes substantial Continuing Professional Development provision taken up by those currently working within the professional context of schools or colleges and there is a particular focus on Education Leadership and Management.
The post will require an applicant who has the ability to coordinate the delivery and development of this suite of provision. We are looking for applicants who have the professional expertise, drive and ambition to consolidate and enhance our current courses. The person appointed will have high-level expertise in teaching and supervising dissertation work at level 7.
The role purpose is to provide high-level professional expertise that is informed by recent, relevant and significant professional experience. You will work directly with the Head of School, the Head of Continuing Professional Development and the Head of Professional Partnership Developments to ensure and assure the development of high quality masters provision, which meets the needs of the teaching profession. This will involve the understanding of the significance of relevant professional development at level 7 that supports the development of critical research informed professionals.
