Aims and objectives
The Childhood Research Forum (CRF) contributes to the multi-disciplinary academic field of Childhood Studies through a research-led approach at a national and international level.
The main aim of CRF is to promote and explore aspects and issues related to babies, children and families in diverse contexts and environments. Led by academics from a wide range of research backgrounds, CRF enables space and opportunities for debates, critical analysis, examination and dialogue. CRF engages with pedagogical, psychological, philosophical and political implications influencing children and their families. It advocates for children aged from conception up to 8 years and addresses matters regarding, policy, practice and pedagogy.

"Young Children Emerging from Lockdown – Reflections, implications and opportunities"
Dr Zoi Nikiforidou and Dr Harriet Pattison facilitated the 1st CRF webinar exploring diverse implications of the lockdown on young children, families, schools and society overall. This 1st webinar offered the opportunity to exchange thoughts and reflections on the impact of the pandemic capturing varied perspectives from the early childhood field.
