Summer Opening Hours
From Sunday 10th July the Library is open:
- Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5.00pm
- Saturday & Sunday - Closed
We will be extending our opening hours for the August re-sit and re-submission deadlines as follows;
Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th August 9am - 5pm
Monday 15th to Thursday 18th August 9am - 10pm.
We will be back to normal opening hours from Friday 19th August.
If library staff are not on duty but the library is open, then access is for materials, self-service, study spaces and IT equipment only with Library Ambassadors on duty.
Books can be returned via the self-service machines or through the out-of-hours book return bin outside The Sheppard-Worlock Library.
There is 24-hour access to PCs and study spaces in the Student Success Zone, Gateway Foyer.

- *Wednesday 10.00am - 1:00pm and 2:00pm - 6.00pm

Liverpool Hope's Archives & Special Collections (A&SC) is open to all Hope staff and students, and the wider research community.
- Monday - Friday 9.30am - 4.30pm
Closure periods for the academic year 2022/23:
- Monday 19th December 2022 - Monday 2nd January 2023 (Christmas)
- Thursday 6th April 2023 - Monday 10th April 2023 (Easter)
- Bank holidays
Access is by appointment only, please email the Special Collections Librarian, Karen Backhouse, at specialcollections@hope.ac.uk.
We are also 'open' online. Subject to certain restrictions, we can provide digital scans of material for research purposes at no charge, however, we are only able to offer up to one hour's research time per request.
Email specialcollections@hope.ac.uk with your research queries and our Special Collections Librarian will endeavour to help.
Catalogued books and collection-level descriptions of archives are available to search on the Library catalogue, OneSearch. For uncatalogued material, Finding Aids are available to browse or download from our webpages. These include lists of contents of archive collections and also classification schemes, or lists of subject headings, for uncatalogued book collections.
