Important information regarding library services, resources and support during the Coronavirus pandemic
Opening hours - In response to the announcement from the Prime Minister, the Libraries are closed with immediate effect until further notice.
Extra online resources – Please keep checking these pages for updated information. Please note that our suppliers have kindly offered free access to this University to many additional resources during these uncertain times. This is to allow us to help you continue your studies as best we possibly can. Many had an expiry date of 30th June so if the resource you are looking for is not here that is the reason. However, it is important to note the temporary nature of this and once normal operations resume the additional resources will not be accessible so please ensure you take a note of all information you need for your reference list.
E-books – included in the above is unlimited concurrent access to many of our purchased e-books so there will be no restrictions to the number of students accessing them at the same time. If you encounter a problem accessing an e-book, please email AskaLibrarian@hope.ac.uk
Extended loans - All library loans will be automatically extended into the next academic year, you do not therefore need to return items that are currently on loan on your record. All fines have been and will continue to be waived.
Inter-Library Loans - This service is currently limited by the fact that most institutions and libraries are physically closed. Although this means that we are unable to supply print materials it is possible to supply journal articles and book chapters, directly to your university email address, if they are already available in electronic format elsewhere. Please see Inter-Library Loans for further information and the relevant request forms.
