Library Well-being

Welcome to the Library Well-being pages.

These pages are packed full of resources, activities and ideas that we hope will help you maintain a good study/rest balance. One of the keys to good results is to ensure you are not stressed and although it may seem counter-intuitive to take time out when a deadline is looming, research shows that this is an effective and productive investment of your time.

During our 24 hour period, we have introduced 2 new zones in The Sheppard-Worlock Library to help you 'Switch Off' from your studies:

Switch Off and Relax and do some craft activities, like colouring, dot-to-dot, knitting, or making pom poms. This area is located in the Group Work Space on the ground floor, just next to Chapters Café.

Switch Off and Play some board games in Chapters Café. Get together with a group of friends and schedule some time to divert you energy from your studies to some fun. We have a fun 3D challenge puzzle, so why not challenge your friends to see who can reach the highest level? Make use of the Café during closed periods after 3pm mid-week or any time at the week-end when we have access only times. 

We have also introduced an extra Silent Zone, located on the first floor, at the far left hand side of the building.

Take a look at our display of books in the foyer of The Sheppard-Worlock Library all about things you can do to relax. Feel free to borrow any of the books.

Some of the activities we suggest on these pages are location and time specific, some you can do any time.
