Do something nice for a friend or stranger; smile at someone; volunteer your time. Helping a neighbour or linking into a community group can be incredibly rewarding

Giving is associated with wellbeing – when you give you increase your happiness, you feel needed and you take your mind off your own worries for a while. 

Giving can be done in a number of ways:

• Give a smile, a compliment, encouragement
• Give way for someone, hold the door open, help someone cross the road
• Give time by volunteering to help or support others
• Give thanks and be grateful
