Physical Well-being

Physical well-being can be affected by a wide range of factors. Here you will find information, resources and support on physical activity, health & safety at work, and lifestyle.

For lifestyle and health advice or support there is a Trainer service on offer to all staff.  

For advice on health at work including eye tests, occupational health, work station assessments and counselling you can visit the Personnel Health and Work webpages for more information.

Physical Exercise

The Department of Health recommends that adults should do 150 minutes of exercise a week. By meeting recommended levels of physical activity, your risk of heart disease, stroke and type 2 diabetes is reduced by 50%. It also gives you more energy and can help with weight loss and mental well-being. Find something suitable for your level of fitness and most importantly, which you enjoy.
