Mental Health support

Local & National Support Services


There is now an NHS 24hr mental health crisis line set up in Merseyside to reduce attendance at A&E. The number for this is 0151 296 7200.
Merseycare also offers online and phone psychological support. Students can contact them directly for support or professionals can ring for advice or refer students if necessary. Further information can be found here.
Merseycare has also produced a range of useful self-help guides covering a wide range of issues including, anxiety, panic, stress, sleeping problems, low mood, depression, domestic abuse, and more).

Talk Liverpool

Students can access a range of online support programmes via Silvercloud, a service commissioned by the local NHS services. The support programmes are designed to help you to improve and maintain your well-being by addressing any underlying issues that can negatively impact how you would like to live your life.

Silvercloud is now available for free. You can sign up here, and enter the code 'CMHCP' when signing up for a course. Online courses are available on topics such as stress, resilience, sleep, and COVID-19.
