This Girl Can is a celebration of active women who are doing their thing no matter how well they do it, how they look or even how red their face gets. Funded by the National Lottery and developed by Sport England, we want to help women overcome the fear of judgement that is stopping too many women and girls from joining in.
Hope Park Sports in partnership with the Student Union launched Liverpool Hope University's This Girl Can campaign in November 2017.
Our aim is to tackle the barriers females face in accessing sport and exercise.
Look out for upcoming events coming up.

Student Placements
We recognise that particular job roles require a level of qualification as well as previous experience, this is why we offer our students placement opportunities. Whereas, we are unable to provide placements that offer an accredited qualification at the end of them we can guarantee that you will finish the placement with a good understanding and knowledge of the placement role.
We value coach education and aim to provide opportunities for our students to allow them to enhance their future job prospects.
By completing additional training alongside your University studies you will be gaining valuable skills as well as choosing to invest in your future.
Sports Coaching Courses/Qualifications
If you decide to train to become a Sports Coach you will be helping others work towards achieving their full potential, as coaching provides many benefits to the participants but as a coach it can also provide you with many benefits too. Many skills can be developed through training and recognised qualifications.
If you are new to sports coaching, there are a number of different qualifications that are available to you but you will firstly need to gain a Level 1 coaching qualification.
After achieving a Level 1 award you will be qualified to assist more-qualified coaches and deliver aspects of a coaching session whilst working with supervision. Most Level 1 courses are made up of blended learning combining theory with coaching practice.
Useful Links to External Courses
Merseyside Sport has information relating to courses and workshops being delivered around Merseyside.
