Congratulations on your place on the Study Abroad or International Exchange Programme at Liverpool Hope University! This page tells you everything you need to know about joining us in January 2019. Please, also read all the pre-arrival information that has been sent to you by e-mail.
You will receive a welcome letter from the International Hub, which will include your login details required to access your University account.
Once you have received the letter, there are a number of things that you need to do before you arrive. To do this you need to log in to your personal Hope account:
|Register||Within MyHope, click on Student Record Management (SRM) and complete the Registration Task in your ‘In Tray’.||
10th Dec 2018 to 5th Jan 2019
|Access your timetable||Within SRM, click on the timetable tab. Your default screen will be September which will allow you to see your first (welcome) week. You should change the settings so you can also see October which will represent your normal timetable.||10th Dec 2018 onwards|
|Access Moodle||Within MyHope, click on the Moodle tab/the big ‘M’ (on the left hand side) and check your courses are listed. If you click on these you can see if your tutors have already added any information (you will need to check this regularly)||As soon as you have registered and ongoing|
|Access your Hope email account||
If you have a personal GMail account, please ensure that it is logged off on the device you are using. Then, enter google.co.uk into the browser and click on Mail or GMail in the top right hand corner. Your email username is your ID number followed by @hope.ac.uk. Your password is as set out in your letter from the Pro Vice Chancellor (Student Life and Learning).
It is important that you access this regularly because the University and your tutors will use this to ensure that you have essential details about your course.

If you are staying in our halls of residence, please arrive on Saturday 5th January 2019 and go directly to your residential campus. For further information and airport collection advice see Pre-arrival information.
Exchange students only - If you are not staying in our halls of residence, please go to Hope Park on Monday 7th January 2019 for the start of the International Orientation Programme.

As classes start from Monday 7th January, we will work around your study schedule to complete your orientation tasks, such as document checks, ID card collection and Library induction – please ensure that you follow the Orientation Programme – copies available on arrival and from the International Hub.
Study Abroad students - your Study Abroad Package fee is due in full before you arrive. If you have paid, or your University has paid on your behalf, you will not need to speak to the Finance Office after arrival. If you have not paid and you are responsible for your Package fee, you will be asked to meet with the Finance Office, and payment will be due in full (unless you are waiting for US Federal Aid).
For information about what is involved in your Package, please refer to the Study Abroad Terms and Conditions that have been emailed to you.
International Exchange students – you do not pay tuition fees, however, if you are living in Halls of Residence, you will automatically be liable for the International Exchange Package fee, which should have been paid before arrival. If you have not paid, you will be asked to meet with the Finance Office and payment will be due in full.

Exchange students living off campus do not have fees to pay to Liverpool Hope University but will not receive the benefits included in the International Exchange Package.
You are coming to a new institution and a new country, so we understand the challenges you will face and will support you with every aspect of this transition. We want you to fit in and feel at home as quickly as possible and the Orientation Programme will start as soon as you arrive in Halls.
