Blessing Ajoku, MA Global PoliticsFriday 27 April 2012
Blessing Ajoku is one of Liverpool Hope University's first graduates of the MA Global Politics (now MA International Relations) programme.
"First of all, I must say it is such a wonderful feeling to accomplish this, now I am a graduate of MA Global Politics, Liverpool Hope University. Initially, I applied to study MA Conflict Resolution and Peace Keeping but that course wasn't available. I then chose MA Global Politics as a second option. I went through the course modules and thought that it was an interesting option.
I was so drawn to Hope Park's beautiful environment, the gardens and the fountain, the very first time I saw the pictures online, and when I arrived, the staff were always willing to help and wore a big smile too. The lectures are great as well. The serenity of the whole environment made me believe it would be a welcoming and conducive place for learning and I was right at least on this one.
I am so glad I was given the choice of study because, I did learn so much about what is going on in the global world in terms of politics, globalization, interdependence, international justice, development and so on. It is really a wonderful choice of study and though it was quite challenging in different ways it is so worth it.
Now I can look towards the future with hope to find a better opportunity career wise.
My advice to anyone looking to study at Liverpool Hope University will be; its a place of new experiences and light but to succeed you ought to work more and play little during your time of study.
I feel so privileged to be one of the pioneers of Global Politics at Liverpool Hope University. It's simply cool."
Liverpool Hope says: 'Blessing was amongst the first graduates of the MA Global Politics.
