The Department of Media and Communication comprises a diverse, successful and growing community of students, researchers and lecturers. We offer a variety of courses; each one places the student at the heart of the Department.
Our BA Media and Communication will provide you with the opportunity to critically analyse the ways in which the media industry shapes and is shaped by our world. Whether you aspire to be a novelist, screenwriter, journalist, biographer, radio dramatist, blogger, PR copywriter or a combination of the above, our new BA Creative Writing will offer you the chance to experience the joys of crafting the written and spoken word.
We also have two postgraduate degrees available: MA Creative Practice and MA Film, Media and Society.
We attract high calibre students onto one core and several Major undergraduate programmes and one Masters programme while academic members of the department supervise cutting edge PhD research.
