Museum of Liverpool visits HopeFriday 22 January 2016
Representatives from the Museum of Liverpool were taken on a behind-the-scenes tour of the new Health Sciences Building during a visit to discuss collaboration opportunities.
The University is exploring ways it can work with the museum to provide work placements, internships, and joint research projects.
Pro Vice-Chancellor Dr Ian Vandewalle said: “We were delighted to host this visit from Liverpool Museum to explore a range of collaborative ideas.
“The Museum offers a wonderful resource, with exceptional collections and historical artefacts that offer significant opportunities for both staff and student research projects, student work-placements and other collaborative activities.”
Situated on Liverpool’s waterfront, the Museum of Liverpool showcases the city’s global significance. Visitors can explore how the port and its people have shaped the city, through exhibits that highlight popular culture and tackle social, historical and contemporary issues. The museum is also home to National Museums Liverpool’s archaeology service.
