Prestigious art scholarship awarded to Hope graduateWednesday 21 September 2016
A prestigious scholarship award has been presented to Fine Art graduate Ant Hamlyn, who has secured a place at Chelsea College of Arts.
The institution is one of London’s most esteemed art and design colleges, with notable alumni including Artist Mariko Mori, Film Director Steve McQueen, Artist Mark Wallinger and Sculptor Sir Anish Kapoor.
Ant, who won the first FACT and Liverpool Hope University Production Residency, will be studying an MA in Visual Arts and Fine Art Digital, and is recipient of the Cecil Lewis Sculpture Scholarship.
The £10,000 scholarship is available to just one home/EU or international student accepted on to a Master’s degree course to study sculpture at the University of the Arts London.
Senior Professional Tutor and BA Fine Art Programme Leader Lin Holland praised Ant on his accomplishment: “There would have been tremendous competition to win this and we are very pleased that the scholarship went to Ant.”
