Alongside my work in community and applied arts engagement, I have had a fulfilling career as a stage and screen actress. I have also been involved in coordinating immersive arts projects, developing Theatre in Education initiatives throughout the North West, with a particular focus on North Wales and Merseyside. Over the years, I have accumulated an impressive list of theatrical credits, including winning the award for best supporting actress in the CCTA Drama Festival. Additionally, I have directed and produced educational films and had the opportunity to tour nationally with many professional theatre productions.
In addition to my artistic pursuits, I have tutored in Performance Art, Drama and Applied Theatre, for many Higher Education Institutions. Before coming to work at Liverpool Hope University, I have tutored at Salford University, Edge Hill University, W.E.A. Cymru, Coleg Harlech, Communities First Wales and The European Opera Centre. Sharing my knowledge and expertise with aspiring artists, I have also spearheaded numerous Community Arts Intervention projects, collaborating with professional bodies and community groups in the North West, to bring the transformative power of the arts to diverse audiences.
My research on community engagement through arts practice, focuses on transferable modalities and ethnography. I have a passion for arts engagement and collaboration, which has led me to be part of a practice as research initiative, where I was lead facilitator in Forgotten Futures and the City, an applied theatre research practice.
