I have wide teaching experience covering Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2, Foundation Degree, Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Continuing Professional Development, In-Service Training: including Mathematics and Pedagogy. I am an External Adviser to the Governing Body of a Partnership School in Liverpool city-centre, forging links between schools and tertiary education. Additional experience has been achieved as a SATS Audit Moderator for Liverpool Authority. I have contributed as a member of the University Academic Board, Quality & Standards Committee, Widening Participation Group, Partnership Team/Primary Steering Committee, Deanery Board and the Equal Opportunities Working Party. I have experience as a committee member of Hope One World, an overseas education charity valuing diversity, participating in workshops in developing areas of the world: Malawi, Africa and Bhimtal, India.
Off campus experience has included experience as an External Consultant to Edge Hill University, Ormskirk; Newman University College, Birmingham; University of Cumbria, Lancaster and University of Derby. I have also participated in International Education-Related Activities in Beijing, Hong Kong, Seoul, Shanghai and Milwaukee. During my career, I have also conducted inspections of school as a qualified Ofsted Inspector. I am currently a Senior Lecturer with additional responsibility as Programme Manager for the Primary Part-Time PGCE course; a Faculty Senior Academic Adviser; and Head of Final Year Undergraduate Initial Teacher Education (Professional Placements). I am currently undertaking Doctoral studies - studying part-time for an EdD at Manchester Metropolitan University.
