Mr Ian McKenna, Marketing Cluster Leader, Head of Business Gateway and Award Director, MA in Police LeadershipIan is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and holds an MSc in Business Management. He has over 30 years' experience of working at senior levels in marketing-related roles in the public, private and voluntary sectors. He has a broad range of experience of teaching on Marketing, Business and Management programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His research interests focus on graduate employability and for the past 15 years, he has directed and tutored on regional, national and international Grad Schools on behalf of Vitae and the Research Councils UK, helping PhD students from all over the world to develop career management and enterprise skills and increase their employability levels. In 2017, Ian was commissioned by Vitae and Barcelona Institute of Science & Technology (BIST) to design and direct a residential Careers-related programme for researchers from across Catalunya. In 2015/16, Ian was commissioned by Durham University to design and deliver an Enterprise School for PhD students from a number of the University's Doctoral Training Centres and directed GradSchools on behalf of Edinburgh University and a number of doctoral training centres from Imperial College, Bristol University and Sheffield University.
