I joined Liverpool Hope University in 2009. As a physician and a scientist, I bring more than 17 years of basic science and clinical research to Liverpool Hope University. I have extensive experience in teaching undergraduates, as well as supervising postgraduate MSc and PhD research programs.
For the past 12 years my research has focused on metabolism and the endocrine system with emphasis on obesity- and diabetes-related cardiovascular disorders. Another aspect of my current research involves investigating the link between midlife obesity and development of late life cognitive problems such as Alzheimer s disease.
