Corporate Communications and Marketing

The Corporate Communications and Marketing team is responsible for maintaining the University’s brand, producing marketing and communication materials and working with the press. A breakdown of the team can be found below.

Director of Corporate Communications and Marketing - Sue Kelly 

Journalist and Press Officer - John Edwards

The Journalist and Press Officer is responsible for raising the profile of the university, via publicising good news and promoting academic research. The Journalist and Press Officer is also available to provide media training for University staff, and offer advice and guidance.

Senior Content Coordinator - tbc

The Senior Content Coordinator is responsible for coordinating internal communications for staff and students, including bulletins, campus screens, MyHope and mailshots. As well as this, the Senior Content Coordinator also produces the prospectus, course leaflets and recruitment marketing publications. They are responsible for providing best practice advice and guidance to University colleagues, and have general oversight of team-wide communications requests and projects.

Senior Graphic Designer - Ray Burns 

The Senior Graphic Designer is the University's brand custodian, and is responsible for the overall look of University collateral and publications. They are also responsible for developing campaign creatives and manages the campaign and corporate photography. Web Content Coordinator - Nicole Finnigan

The Web Content Coordinator is responsible for overseeing T4, the University's CMS, and facilitates the approvals, the look and content of the website. They are available to provide staff training, and offer advice and guidance to staff across the University on marketing and accessibility best practice.

Digital Campaigns Officer - Kate Shields

The Digital Campaigns Officer oversees the University's marketing and advertising activity, including student stories, video content, paid for marketing/advertising and raising university profiles. The Digital Campaigns Officer also liaises with the Recruitment team to ensure cohesive marketing activity.

Social Media Officer - tbc

The Social Media Officer is responsible for overseeing the University's corporate social media channels. They regularly produce various forms of engaging content, and ensure cohesive branding across all platforms. The Social Media Officer is also available to offer training, and advice/guidance on best practice to wider University colleagues. 

Multimedia Web Developer - Steven Hargraves

The Multimedia Web Developer is responsible for the photography of University events. They also produce video content for Schools, Departments and Support areas. Graphic Designer - Stephen Pugh

The Graphic Designer is responsible for supporting the Senior Graphic Designer on developing University wide collateral. All Design jobs should be submitted via a Design briefing sheet, you can find out further details on the Design webpage.

Marketing and Communications Officer (Postgraduate) - Adam Dumbleton

The Marketing and Communications Officer (Postgraduate) is responsible for the day to day management of post graduate marketing (PG) and communications, as well as working to raise the profile of the university and increase recruitment through both corporate and school/departmental communications and marketing activity.
