SEARCH

SEARCH is the dedicated Research Centre for Hope Business School, which, also, seeks to profile research in other Schools related to social and economic action research.  SEARCH’s role is to encourage, market, seek funding for, and enhance the activity of the various research groups. It is engaged in this through assisting in organizing Research Seminars and Conferences which present the outcomes of our research groups to a wider audience, within the School, across the University and, especially, to an international research community.

SEARCH runs regular Research Seminars with the Business School.  It holds an international annual conference, with one of the other University Schools or Research Centres, such as the Tutu Centre for War and Peace Studies.  Additionally, it hosts an annual conference, with the Business School, profiling research within the School and amongst Hope researchers involved in social and economic action research.  It is open to hosting other events of relevance to its core role.  For example, it is helping to host a Summer 2023 Colloquium, for the Valuing Society’s Contribution to Sustainable Development project, with delegates from various United Nations groups, and members of the international climate and biodiversity economic policy community.
