Disability Confident Scheme
Liverpool Hope University is proud to be part of the Disability Confident Scheme, and is committed to supporting diversity and equality. The Disability Confident Scheme is focused on challenging attitudes towards disability, increasing understanding of disability, and removing barriers to disabled people.
The Disability Confident Scheme is a Department of Work and Pensions scheme based in the UK. It helps organisations to think differently about disability in relation to employment, retention, training and career development. The scheme supports employers to make the most of the talents that disabled people can bring to the workplace. Liverpool Hope University is among over 18,000 organisations playing a role in changing attitudes, behaviours and cultures, and reaping the benefits of inclusive recruitment practices.
As a Disability Confident Committed employer, we’re committed to hiring more people who are disabled to help us transform our culture, environment and performance. Going forward the university will offer a guaranteed interview scheme.
