"Spoiled for choice? Tory leadership contests 2016-2022" Prof Tim Bale

Four leadership contests in six years is quite some going. Each is to some extent unique; but there are some common threads, especially when it comes to why Conservative MPs make their choices in each round.  We compare and contrast the 2016 and 2019 races and the two contests of 2022, with particular emphasis on their parliamentary stages in order to isolate those threads.
