A year-long residency as an artist-in-residence at the Bootham School in York has been awarded to Fine Art graduate Lizzie Brownsword.
The post was open to any Fine Art graduate across the country, who had graduated within the last three years.
Lizzie was invited for an interview and was chosen out of all the applicants to begin the residency in September.
With living accommodation provided and a studio space in the school with access to school resources, Lizzie will be in a position to continue her career as an artist.
She will be delivering five hours a week teaching and working towards exhibiting in York Open Studios Festival, with further plans to exhibit in York.
Lizzie previously took part in an installation project as part of Liverpool’s annual Light Night festival.
She was part of a team of artists sketching at Road Studios in Liverpool, and tasked with producing an image on a tablet device that could then be projected on to a building at another location.
