Creepy crawlies, a life-sized Easter bunny and a host of scientific research experiments mark the return of British Science Week to the University campus.

Following the success of last year’s week-long celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths, Liverpool Hope University will once again open its doors to the public, from Friday 10th March to Friday 17th March.

Hands on encounters with wildlife, health MOTs, psychology insights and the science behind sports’ performance are just some of the sessions on offer throughout the week.

The Faculty of Science will be holding a number of fascinating, entertaining and engaging events and activities for people of all ages.

Having fun while learning is a key theme at Hope’s British Science Week celebrations. Throughout the week, interactive workshops will teach pupils from schools and colleges about DNA mutations, nutrition, virtual reality and even radio telemetry, while talks and demonstrations cover bioscience, psychology, sport science and robotics.

Held in our Health Sciences Building and university grounds, there will be something for everyone. From a beginners’ introduction to different specialisms, to detailed explorations for college students considering a future in the field.
