Generous students and staff helped smash the target for Liverpool Hope University’s Christmas Appeal 2018.
Ahead of the launch of the University’s 175th anniversary year celebrations, the Hope community was tasked with donating at least 1,750 items for Knowsley Foodbank and The Whitechapel Centre.
The ambitious figure proved no problem for the University’s staff and students, with donations exceeding the target to total 2,165 items.
Based in the Merseyside area, both charities help local people in crisis and welcome donations of food, clothing, bedding, and Christmas gifts.
Throughout December, students and staff brought bags full of donations to the three drop-off points across the University’s Hope Park, Creative and Aigburth Park Campuses.
As well as items, the University received monetary donations for the two charities.
A big thank you to everyone who donated to the Christmas Appeal.
