The Journal of Literary and Cultural Disability Studies has now published its 41st issue, which brings together work from Germany, Norway, the UK, and the USA.

Cultural Representations of Dwarfism is a special issue that has been guest edited by Hope’s Disability Studies Lecturer Dr Erin Pritchard and external colleague Professor Robert Kruse of West Liberty University.

The journal’s peer-reviewed articles focus on numerous representations of dwarfism, pertaining to 1930s cinema, medieval representation, media, freak shows, art, and book covers.

In addition, compiled by Hope’s Associate Professor of Disability Studies Dr Owen Barden, the comments section of the special issue contains a collaborative response to the 5th CCDS conference held in 2019.

Editor-in-Chief Professor David Bolt is keen to acknowledge that the journal’s ongoing success demonstrates the sustained work of everyone on the editorial board, the book reviews editors, the comments editor, the guest editors, the authors, the academic support workers, Liverpool University Press, Project MUSE, and Scopus.
