Dr Stephe Harrop, Subject Leader and Senior Lecturer in Drama and Theatre Studies, gave a public lecture at King's College London, as part of their annual Greek Tragedy Day.
The talk drew on ideas and practices from her recent book, Greek Tragedy and the Contemporary Actor, and set out to inspire an audience of students and teachers to develop unique adaptations of ancient plays, which speak directly to their local communities and contexts.
Dr Harrop said: “The lecture was very enthusiastically received, with many of the audience expressing a new sense of creative empowerment in relation to ancient plays, and their contemporary re-performance.”
