Those who go above and beyond for the Liverpool Hope community were honoured at a glittering awards ceremony.
The Hope Star Excellence Awards 2020 recognised staff and students who had been nominated by their peers for all that they do for others.
Vice President for Education and Welfare Caitriona Cairns, who organised the event on behalf of the Students’ Union, described the night as a great success.
She said: “We are so excited to be here recognising the very best of our staff and students… recognising our most engaged, hardest working staff, students and student groups.
“The one thing that was clear to me from the outset is that I wanted the winners to be dictated by our current staff and students, I wanted it to be current, to be shaped by the views of our students on the ground. With just short of 1,000 votes, this had me it our most engaged award night to date, and safe to say there has been some stiff competition.”
Several of the student awards were sponsored by local companies from the Merseyside region, with representatives attending on the night to present the awards. Among these were Angel Solutions Ltd, Liverpool Irish Centre and Irish Community Care, Liverpool Student Homes, 3LG, Hill Dickinson’s, and Cool It Liverpool.
Winners on the night included:
