A new cohort of international students have joined Hope for a semester of study and the chance to experience life in Liverpool.
Hailing from countries including Mexico, France and the US, the Study Abroad students will be given a taster of what it’s like to study in the UK and the opportunity to explore the country and beyond.
Meckenna Wels, from Whittier College in California, is joining the Business School. She said: “I’ve always wanted to visit the UK and I’m a big fan of the Beatles, so Liverpool was my first choice.
“This is the first time I’ve left the US and I’m looking forward to getting to know people from all over. While I’m here I’d also like to visit different parts of the UK and Paris.”
Liverpool Football Club were a big draw for Brianna Dotson, from Hope College Michigan, who is hoping to see her team in action.
She said: “I’m a big football fan and would love to see Liverpool play while I’m here. Aside from the football, the Education topics available at Hope seem like a great match with my studies in the US.
“I’m excited to try new things and experience a different environment and culture.”
