Dr Niamh Malone, Senior Lecturer in Drama, presented a research paper at the First International Arts and Dementia Research Conference, Royal Society for Public Health, London.
While there, she also launched her co-authored manual The Imaginary Spell: Storytelling and Dementia, which has been funded by the Hope Learning and Teaching Award.
The manual has been produced with her research partner Donna Redgrave, a Hope graduate and member of the RMD Memory Matters Arts Company.
It was warmly received as an original contribution to the development of innovative practice in this field.
